The location in Oxfordshire is perfect; a typical English village with a duck pond and a small but comfortable and welcoming three star hotel. From here we’ll join Julian and take a private tour of Broughton Castle, one of the few properties awarded five stars by Simon Jenkins, author of England’s 1000 Best Houses. We’ll travel to historic Warwick with its medieval buildings and the Lord Leycester Hospital. At Kenilworth, the new Elizabethan garden is maturing well and will be abundant with spring flowers. We’ll tour the gardens and the magnificent castle, the most complete medieval castle. Not far away from Banbury is the City of Oxford, known as the “City of Dreaming Spires”. After an introduction, we’ll tour some of its colleges, the Ashmolean Museum and Christchurch Cathedral.
