Garden Tours

Our garden tours are very popular, particularly those run in conjunction with Hilliers, see our garden tour page. We still have some availability for “Summer Gardens in The Shires” and “Norfolk Gardens” and also to Gardens and Houses of Northumbria in early July 2010. This latter garden tour has the benefit of a free coach transfer to the hotel from Newcastle Railway Station. Northumbria is beautiful and unspoilt and some of the great houses and gardens such as Alnwick, Cragside, Wallington and Belsay are featured as well as some exceptional private gardens.

Tall Ships are back!

This year, the magnificent Tall Ships are in Hartlepool in August during The Tall Ships Race and our three night tour based from central Durham will include a trip on a pleasure cruiser to see the ships leaving port for “The Parade of Sail” and we’ll also explore Captain Cook Country and The North Yorkshire Moors with an expert tour guide.
