Dublin Tour September
This is to say how much I enjoyed this visit. The hotel accommodation was very good with every comfort and delightful staff and excellent food. But above all, our tour guide, Mary, was superb and her fun, warmth and knowledge, too, made the short break the success that it was for me and the others.

Scottish Highlands and Islands Tour September 2009
I would like to add to this letter by thanking you for all the planning and excellent administration which made for a most comfortable and enjoyable DFAS short break to the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Our arrival at Inverness was greeted by Elisabeth Burns and she proved an amusing and informative tour guide, who really integrated with her “flock”. I think, too that it is worth a mention to the coach driver, Bob, who contributed many anecdotes as well as being an excellent driver. With best wishes and thanks for past tours.

Well - what a success it all was!
All the arrangements you made for us - Marc, Margery, the Bedford Hotel (including the Saturday Dinner), River cruise. Versailles, L’Orangerie Museum, - were in a word "great". Even Eurostar worked well, given their problems.
I'm sure Marc will elaborate to you sometime (I think, and hope, he enjoyed himself) but for my own part I cannot thank you enough. The other members etc all enjoyed it - and that is a big relief to me.

Now safely back and I want to say a huge thank you to you for all your input in our very successful trip to Cornwall. All the places we went were super and Maureen Bennett was a gem of a tour guide. She was so knowledgeable about her subject and was great with Chris our lovely driver ref. parking, lane choices, etc...etc....The hotel accommodation was much better than I’d experienced on my recce thank goodness. All together a most successful time.
The fliers have arrived for our next venture......in 2 lots actually. Some were here on Sat when I got home and some came today. All looks fine.

Group Tours - September 2008
I would like to vote to record a vote of thanks for organising such a wonderful trip to Barcelona. Monica, our Spanish tour guide, was very knowledgeable and her great enthusiasm for her country rubbed off on all of us. She was amusing and explained everything in so much detail.
Marc, was a good back-up and one felt confident that if there were any problems he would have dealt with them instantly. What a nice idea he had to arrange a special visit to some of his friends who lived in an apartment full of treasures. Everyone enjoyed the visit and appreciated the effort that was put into making the trip so successful.

Just a note to say how much I enjoyed this tour. The hotel accommodation was excellent and everything very well organised. Fortunately the weather was kind.
Anne ran it all with good humour and we were all kept well informed as regards exactly what was going to happen next. It was a bonus to have Mark from Hilliers along to help identify plant names. My impression was that everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and were sad to part company at the end.

I want to thank you for the excellent three day tour “Cornwall, Coast to Coast” that my friend and I have just completed. It was a splendid little tour of a part of Cornwall that neither of us knew, and the Royal Duchy Hotel was excellent in every way – quite outstanding.
Our special thanks go to our tour guide, Maureen Bennett, both for her extensive and well-presented knowledge and for her help in so many ways, the chief of which was, perhaps helping me – an old woman – to the top of St Michael’s Mount. Would you please pass on my thanks to her for all her help?

Wellington and Waterloo - March 2008
Thank you for yet another brilliantly organised tour. I had been looking forward to this one since my first trip with Brookland Travel. Everything went very smoothly and we were disappointed that it had to end. Dirk, the tour guide who did the city tour on Monday morning, was both witty and knowledgeable. Julian was again very generous with his specialist knowledge. He brought the whole experience to life, providing a personalised aspect that would be impossible to discover without him.
